Because of concerns of how the overflow parking from Heritage park would impact the entry into Phase 2, the Concerned Residents of El Dorado Hills Heritage Village (CRHV) donated their time to paint the curbs around the islands red. The problem with parking is twofold — firstly, safety, and secondly, inconvenience. People that do not find space in the limited parking lot will park around the islands. Based on a trial run by the CRHV it was found there would not be enough room for emergency vehicles to easily get through if this was to happen. The thinking is that people will park their car anywhere they can making it difficult for residents to get into their community. Unfortunately, this will not stop park goers from parking in the community so everyone should be VIGILANT.
